Our Team

Meet our Brassall Vets Family

Dr Rebecca Dempsey BVSc

Director and Senior Veterinarian

Dr Bec graduated from the University of Queensland in 2011.

After a number of years of caring for her patients at our clinic, Dr Bec took leave to care for her young family. Since returning to work she has been helping her patients and their owners in the Ipswich region and she is excited to be back where it all began! She loves catching up with old clients and meeting new ones!

Having grown up with a large fur family, Dr Bec is so thankful that her two young daughters, Eden and Claire, are able to as well. They are following in her footsteps with a love for animals and passion for helping them .

Dr Bec is a knowledgeable, caring and compassionate veterinarian who is a highly experienced surgeon. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, and has a special interest in breeding, ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery.

With her own dogs, cats and ponies, she knows how important your pets are to you, and is passionate about treating them as her own.

Dr Stephanie Clark BVSc (Hons)

Senior Veterinarian

Dr Steph really does have a passion for all creatures great and small.

Surrounded by animals as a child, and still in constant awe of them, Dr Steph is not surprised now to find her own young children dragging every type of animal home, begging to keep them as ‘pets’.

After graduating with honours from University of Queensland’s School of Veterinary Science in 2011, Dr Steph has worked throughout SE-QLD in shelter medicine, private practice and as a locum veterinarian.

Fresh produce and chickens is the way to Dr. Stephs' heart, however she wont say no to a good book and a coffee either. Dr. Steph has a passion for small mammals, genetics and medical cases and she is dedicated to treating every single patient as if they were her own. Whether you have a pet rat or a huge dog, Dr. Steph will welcome you with open arms.

From when you welcome your new fur baby into your family, to reminiscing when it's time to say goodbye, the team at Brassall Vets will be there for you and your pets.

Offering you options to help,

every step of the way

Practice manager & Senior Nurse

Deb started her nursing career at Brassall Veterinary Surgery 13 years ago. Upon returning from maternity leave, she has worked within the Ipswich region and is highly skilled in all aspects of veterinary nursing and practice management.

Deb is a fully qualified veterinary nurse, holding her cert 4 in vet nursing and has a passion for patient care.

She has also gained her bachelor degree in equine studies and certificate in hoof care and provides a wonderful hoof trimming service to equines in the Ipswich and Lockyer Valley regions.

Always keeping up to date with the latest in gold standard of care, Deb goes above and beyond to make your clinic visit as stress free for your pets as possible.

When she's not busy caring for your fur babies she loves spending her time with her young family and riding her horse Indi, taking her standard poodles Hammer & Black Berry along for the ride.

Practice Manager & Veterinary Nurse

Tara is a face you will all recognise as she has been part of our Brassall team for over 10 years.

Along with keeping the local coffee shop in business with her coffee addiction, as one of our amazing practice managers she helps make the clinic you love the special place it is. From being the friendly face on reception to singing to your fur babies while they have bloods taken, if you're not already friends with her you soon will be!

Tara has a passion for animal behaviour and is our qualified dog school educator. These programs cover enrichment, socialisation, obedience and so much more.

Along with being fur mum to 3 dogs, "Ryder", "Lennox" and “Charlie”, a cat called "Oska", an albino carpet python “Mayo”, a few birds and her wildlife rescues, Tara is also a wife and mum to a couple of human children, who like her, love animals.

Tara also is our photographer, and keeps our clinic smelling nice as she is also a Scentsy distributor.

Veterinary Nurse

Alice is one of our veterinary nurses with over 2 years of intensive clinic experience, ensuring best practice care for you and your furry family members. She has an avid interest in genetic disorders and nursing critical care and surgical patients. Alice graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Animal Science in 2014 and has a wealth of experience in animal husbandry and customer service.

In her spare time Alice loves picnics with her young family, nature hikes, reading and baking. Alice has a standard poodle Ted and a gorgeous blue tongue lizard “Blu”.

She is committed to ensuring that our clients, both two and four legged, have a good Brassall Vet experience.

Veterinary Nurse

Demi is the smiling face you will meet upon arriving at the clinic two days a week. Our wonderful receptionist has many years experience working in clinics and helping clients.

Last year she and her husband welcomed their first two legged baby into the family, their gorgeous little baby boy Austin. Thinking Austin needs a friend, they are now expecting their second bundle of joy, early next year!!! 2 young ones under 2! If anyone can do it, Demi can! Their young family is completed by their three other babies, of the four-legged kind.

Demi loves helping in any way she can and looks forward to welcoming you and your pets to the clinic! Let her take a puppy and kitten selfie and she'll be your bestie forever!!
