Our Team

Meet our Brassall Vets Family

Dr Rebecca Boddington BVSc

Director and Senior Veterinarian

Dr Bec graduated from the University of Queensland in 2011.

Since then she has been helping her patients and their owners in the Ipswich region and has spent most of her career here at Brassall vets.

In 2021 Dr Bec, along with Deb and Tara and their families, purchased the clinic with the dream of having a family owned clinic that offers their clients the best of care for their fur babies with understanding and support for them like no other.

At Brassall Vets, Dr Bec and her team truly love your pets!

Keeping up to date in the latest of medical and surgical care, you know your pets are in good hands.

Dr Bec is a knowledgeable, caring and compassionate veterinarian who is a highly experienced surgeon. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, and has a special interest in ophthalmology and all soft tissue surgery.

Having grown up with a large fur family, Dr Bec is so thankful that her two young daughters, Eden and Claire, are able to as well.  They are following in her footsteps with a love for animals and passion for helping them, and you will often see the kids and her husband Mark helping out around the clinic.

With her own dogs, cats and ponies, she knows how important your pets are to you, and is passionate about treating them as her own.

From when you welcome your new fur baby into your family, to reminiscing when it's time to say goodbye, the team at Brassall Vets will be there for you and your pets.

Offering you options to help,

every step of the way

Senior Veterinarian

Dr Alex graduated from the University of Queensland in 2017.

During her time in practice Dr Alex has worked locally in Ipswich, in both general practice and emergency hospitals, for welfare groups, and has also used her compassion and care to help families say good bye to their fur babies through Good Bye Good Boy (a home euthanasia service).

Dr Alex has a wide range of knowledge and experience in all areas of veterinary medicine and surgery. With a warm and down to earth personality, she has a straight forward approach and takes the time to explain things simply, get to know you and your pet, and help you anyway she can.

Although Dr Alex loves all animals great and small, she has a soft spot for cattle dogs. She looks forward to getting to know you and your pets!

Tara

Senior Nurse Manager

Tara is a face you will all recognise as she has been part of our Brassall team for over 10 years.

Along with keeping the local coffee shop in business with her coffee addiction, as one of our amazing practice managers she helps make the clinic you love the special place it is. From being the friendly face on reception to singing to your fur babies while they have bloods taken, if you're not already friends with her you soon will be!

Tara has a passion for animal behaviour and is our qualified dog school educator.

Along with being fur mum to a menagerie of dogs, a cat, snake, fish and a  few birds, along with her wildlife rescues. She is also a wife and mum to a couple of human children, who like her, love animals.

Sophie

Veterinary Nurse

Sophie is currently studying her Bachelor in Veterinary Technology at The University of Queensland Gatton campus.

When she isnt busy caring for our local pets while their families are away on holidays, she is loving them here at the clinic!

With experience in all aspects of medical and surgical nursing, your fur babies are safe and loved in Sophie's hands.

Sophie is also a favourite among all the clinics little humans, with them preferring her over their own mums most days!

She keeps us all smiling with her humour and caring ways and is another valuable member of the team we wouldn't be the same without.

Sophie has a love of all creatures great and small, camping and sending time with her own pets and family.
